For volunteers who wish to participate in research but do not want to take a drug, we do non-drug studies (academic team)

Whilst developing our activity in other therapeutic areas, we also conduct early phase clinical trials which require Healthy Volunteers.

The wellbeing of our volunteers is always our first priority. Due to this, we hold an outstanding reputation within the industry for performing high quality clinical research complying with strict clinical trial legislation. As a result, we have successfully conducted over 400 clinical trials, recruiting in excess of 30,000 volunteers and this number continues to grow.

Established in 1994, we are majority owned by the North West Lung Centre Charity. Due to the unique way that we operate, all profits generated by us are then reinvested into the research of future treatments for respiratory diseases.

We are located in our own purpose built, state of the art facility on the grounds of Wythenshawe Hospital and employ a team of dedicated medical professionals who are committed to excellence.

WHY DO WE NEED CLINICAL TRIALS?

All medications from simple paracetamol for headache through to life saving cancer drugs must go through the clinical trial process before they can be prescribed by doctors. Without volunteers, we would not be able to develop new treatments for future generations.
All clinical trials are voluntary. You always have the right to choose whether or not you will take part in a clinical trial and you have the right to leave a clinical trial at any time, for any reason.
